Out with the old and in with the new (Part 2)

On Valentines day we picked up our new couch. We purchased it on craigslist.com. It is one year old and the guy selling it to us is a bachelor who's girlfriend wanted a different couch so we got to reap the rewards for an AWESOME deal!! It is faux-suede/leather from Ashley furniture. Before we even arrived he had two other offers for more than it was posted for, but he told us that because we were first to arrive he wouldn't increase the price. He also threw in the little leather seat at the end which opens up and hold blankets etc.




We are loving that we can move the foot rest over and lay out long ways on the couch. It's perfectly wide enough to allow Jeff and I to snuggle up and watch a movie as Jeff is demonstrating below. I can't wait to have the whole ensemble complete with new carpet, and being able to move the rest of the furniture into the living room hopefully soon???

Honorable mention to the old sectional couch, given to us by the Thurstons. It's been a great couch and went to a loving home. I get very attached to my furniture, the VERY first couch we had looked just like a croissant, we donated it to the DI and I went in a week later and saw that in the move it had recieved a little tear which caused me to shed a little tear. :(
