The Garden is Growing

So here is the Garden all planted. There is one more small level beyond this that Laura and I planted Pumpkins and cucumbers in. I planted climbing peas around the arch in hopes that by the end of the summer they will have grown up each side. I also plan on hanging a tomato plant from the top of the arch.

Under the arch is two rows of carrots and then one row of Lettus.

Cucumber- we now have about 7-8 that have popped up.

We have 3 pumpkin plants thus far

We had 1 pumpkin plant that was a late bloomer and came out with the seed husk on top.

2 small rows of corn.

Several lettus

A few carrots

Also not pictured is a strawberry plant, and 2 green pepper plants which we've had a hard time keeping alive with the bugs eating them and me killing off a few with heavily concentrated bug killer that I didn't dilute. I was supposed to put 1 tbs in a gallon of water but I probably put a whole tbs on the whole plant. woopseeee

LOL I love the last one woopseee. You so funny Sheuwie! The dirt looks all dry and desolate with rocks and twigs etc. Is that normal? Obviously I guess since your stuff is growing.

Awesome job, Shelley and Jeff! You could put some grass clippings around the little seedlings to help keep them moist. It may not look as beautiful, but is very helpful.

I'm been too busy fighting dandelions and haven't planted yet. Now I'm concerned that being gone for three weeks in June would be too long for a garden to survive. I'll have to see how comitted Darren would be to maintaining it, if we plant before I leave. . .

Have a delightful week!

Love you, Kids!

i thought you killed the whole garden. did you replant? i guess there is enough poison left in the dirt to kill the next batch. and it does look rocky, maybe you should try furtilizer and top soil.
