First annual Hart family vacation to Yellowstone

First annual Hart family vacation to Yellowstone National Park/Teton National Park

We did it!!! We went on vacation as a family and we actually had a very good time!! This is a big accomplishment for the Hart fam because we have never gone somewhere overnight for a family vacation. We stayed in a cute little cabin named Moose's Caboose for $85 a night in Island Park. On Saturday we did the upper loop in Yellowstone and the second day we headed south through Yellowstone and caught the Grand Teton National Park on the way out. We saw ton's of bison/elk and babies, a few coyotes one with her 5 cubs, a black bear and a grizzly bear. Bear are a rare sighting so we were glad that we saw a few. I also wanted Stac and Brookey to know that we missed them a TON and that is wasn't as fun as it could have been with you there!!!!!

Jeff and I at a view of the lower falls.

Gibbon Falls

Shannon collecting wild flowers at one of the stops to view a wolves den.

Poor Jeffy was very sick over the weekend.
The upper terrace of Mammoth Hot Springs. The whole lower section was pretty much dried up from the wild fires. Which is so sad, last time Jeff and I went it was a beautiful sight to see.

Chance, Sam and I in the hot tub at the cabin:) We had fun playing "i spy" and many other games.

Jeff sick on the couch.

My padres at the entrance to the the Moose's Caboose.

Chance's favorite painted buffalo at a West Yellowstone exhibit.

Shannon and her hunny Zac displaying a bag of Stacy's Pita Chips.

I love this pic of everyone on the board walk at the paint pots.

Jeff rolled Zac's hand up in the window. Sorry about that Zac. That boy sure can scream!!

Happy Father's Day to the best dad ever! Mom bought him moose poops:) and we sisters bought him the Rush Limbaugh Letter. That night he informed us that he had purchased a subscription to the newsletter the day before we did:( In this pic we are waiting for Old Faithful to go off. Sadly it was not so faithful and went off after the appointed time frame. I got a nice sunburn on the right side of my body as I waited:(
The Old Faithful Inn was a really cool place!!

I am pointing at the grizzly bear which is to the left of my finger laying down at the edge of that tall sagebrush. He was chowing down on an elk.

The Grand Tetons

We are officially cowboys as we chow down on our Haagen-daz ice cream in Jackson Hole, WY; the perfect ending to our wonderful first-ever vacation as a family!

I'm glad you guys had a good time, I know you had been looking forward to the trip for quite awhile. That stinks that Jeff was sick, that is never fun, especially on vacation!

Your photos are fantastic, Shelley and Jeff! ! ! What a wonderful adventure for (most of) your family. . .

Have you had a blessing, Jeffrey? Be sure to avoid milk and ice cream (meat perhaps, too) while you're sick. Did you dilute some Bragg's apple cider vinegar in apple juice or cider (or water)? Be sure to get some Olive Leaf herb at the Good Earth or other health store (Fred Meyer nutrition center had 25% sale on Nature's Way last week.)

Drink plenty of good water, take garlic, Oregano Oil with food; keep bowels moving. Call me.
Love always,
Mamacita
